This page explains how to have your information removed from Kaalchakra, operated by KAALCHAKRA SYSTEMS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED.
There are two different situations, and the right route depends on which one you are in.
01You use Kaalchakra for your business
You signed up, you log in, and the records are yours.
To delete everything
Write to support@kaalchakra.net from the email address on the account, or from a phone number registered on it, and say you want the account closed and the data deleted. Include your business name so we can find the right account.
Before you do, export your records. Deletion is not reversible. You can export from within Kaalchakra at any time while the account is open, and once the account is gone we cannot produce your books again.
What happens then
- We confirm the request with you, so an account cannot be deleted by someone who should not be able to.
- Your business records, documents, masters and settings are deleted.
- Your users' login details are deleted.
- We finish within 30 days of confirming.
What we keep, and why
Indian tax law requires certain records to be retained for a period after the financial year they belong to. Where that applies, we keep only what the law requires and nothing else, we do not use it for anything, and it is deleted when the retention period ends. We will tell you what falls into this category when you ask.
We may also keep a minimal record that an account existed and was deleted, so we can answer a later question about it. That record does not contain your business data.
02Your details are in a business's Kaalchakra records
You do not have a Kaalchakra account. Your name, and perhaps your phone number or address, appear in Kaalchakra because a business you deal with recorded them — as a customer, a supplier, or on an invoice.
Ask that business first. The record is theirs, they control it, and they can change or remove it themselves. That is usually the fastest route.
If you cannot reach them, or they do not act, write to support@kaalchakra.net with:
- your name
- the phone number or email the business holds for you
- the name of the business, if you know it
We will find the records, contact the business, and help get it resolved. We will reply within 30 days.
One thing we should be honest about: these are another organisation's business records, and some of them are invoices and accounting entries that the law requires them to keep. Where a record must be retained, we cannot delete it for you — but we can stop it being used to contact you, and we will say clearly which is which.
03You just want the messages to stop
If you are receiving documents from a business on WhatsApp and want them to stop, you do not need to write to anyone.
Reply STOP to the message. That takes effect immediately.
You can also ask the business directly to stop sending, and they can turn it off from their side.
Stopping messages does not delete the business's record of you — those are two different things. If you want the record removed as well, follow section 2 above.
