Billing, payments & what you pay
See what you're paying for the activity in your workspace, pay your bills online, and look back over your billing history. You only pay for what you use — there is no plan or fixed monthly fee, and a free allowance covers light usage each month.
The Billing & Cost Management area is where you keep an eye on what your workspace costs — and where you pay for it. You pay only for what you actually use, so there's no plan and no fixed monthly fee, and a free monthly allowance covers light usage before any charges start. The first time you open the page a short guide walks you through everything; you can replay it anytime with the Guide button at the top.
Finding your way around
A navigation panel on the left (a row of pills on a phone) moves you between the views. Each one answers a different question:
- Home — the big picture on one dashboard: a cost summary (month-to-date, the forecast for this month, last month's total, and free-allowance savings), a cost monitor, recommended actions, a month-by-month cost breakdown, and the biggest cost movements between months.
- Bills — the statement itself. A Billing period picker at the top right switches between the current month and any earlier bill. For the current month you can expand a service to see each meter's usage, the free allowance applied, and the rate; closed months show the charges per service. Use Download all to CSV or Print to take a copy.
- Payments — what's due, a secure way to pay it, and every receipt on record.
- Bill History — earlier bills kept on record so you can look back any time.
- Cost Explorer — trends over time. Pick a date range or focus on a single service to see charges day by day.
- Free Tier — how this month's usage sits against the free monthly allowance, meter by meter, and how much of it was covered for free.
Setting a monthly budget
On Home, the Cost monitor card lets you set a personal monthly budget. Once set, it shows an at-a-glance status — OK, forecasted to exceed, or exceeded — and a matching reminder appears under Recommended actions whenever charges cross your budget. The budget is a monitoring aid only: it never limits what you can do, and it never changes what you're charged.
Paying a bill
- 1
Open Payments
The Amount due now card shows issued bills minus everything you've already paid.
- 2
Confirm the amount
The amount box is pre-filled with what's due — adjust it if you want to make a partial payment or pay ahead.
- 3
Choose Pay securely
A secure payment page opens where you can pay by UPI, by scanning a QR code, by credit or debit card, or through net banking.
- 4
Watch the confirmation land
Once you complete the payment, the confirmation appears back on the Payments view automatically — use Check status if you don't see it within a moment.
Your payment details stay private
Payments happen on a secure page operated by an authorised payment partner. Your card or bank details are never seen or stored by Kaalchakra — we only record that the payment was received, along with a reference number you can quote to support.
- Advance payments are welcome — anything you pay beyond the amount due sits as an advance balance and is applied to future bills automatically.
- Receipts — every confirmed payment is listed with its date, method, amount, and reference number.
- Who can pay — anyone with access can view bills and receipts; starting a payment needs an administrator of the organisation.
Check it at month-end
A quick monthly glance keeps your costs predictable and means there are never any surprises when a bill arrives — you're only ever charged for the activity in your workspace beyond your free monthly allowance, and settling the bill takes less than a minute from the Payments view.
